Teacher Lizzie Mogane intends to start a maths tutoring service for children in her village and have it be solar powered. She already has the tutorial software and knows it can work. Johannesburg IT training company LGIT Smart Solutions, a Microsoft Silver Learning Partner, wants to support her.
Brian Kajengo started a nursery specializing in indigenous trees and medicinal plants. He is also growing vegetables according to permaculture methods and training young people who were previously vandalising his property about growing food. Brian has partnered with other NPOs who have sponsored his borehole. He is very eager to learn more about how to run a sustainable business and generate a profit while supporting his community.
Suzan Nxumalo wants to start a shop selling prepared foods cooked with eco-friendly methods and vegetables grown without sprays or chemicals according to permaculture methods.
